Personal finance without the jargon: cash flow, debt, saving, investing and the psychology of money.
← All episodesMost people believe their income is the thing that will make them wealthy. It will not, and that is not a motivational line, it is arithmetic. A salary is a foundation, and foundations are necessary and also not houses. What decides the outcome is what happens to the money after it lands, which is the least examined hour of anyone's financial life.
You can watch this at any income level. Consumption expands to fill whatever arrives, and someone earning a great deal can live exactly as close to the edge as someone earning very little, with better anxieties. The question that clarifies it is uncomfortable and simple: what remains when the earning stops. For most people the honest answer is not enough, and the reason is rarely that they did not earn. It is that what they earned was never converted into anything that keeps working after they do.
So the useful distinction is not income versus expenses. It is what you own versus what you are paid. Ownership survives your attention. A salary stops the moment you do, and most people never find out which one they have until they find out the hard way.
The episodes gathered here are the practical layer of that: what a savings rate actually tells you that an income cannot, how compounding works and how it runs in reverse through fees, obligations and drags nobody tracks, why boring is a feature rather than an apology, and what to do first when there is not much to work with yet.
There is also a psychological layer that matters more than the arithmetic, because the arithmetic is not hard and people still do not follow it. Much of that lives in Spanish, in the conversations about the fear that travels with money, and each page carries an essay that teaches something the video did not have room for.
