Uribe Schwarzkopf chose Wynwood Norte for their United States debut and brought MVRDV to design it. The building is conceived as a collection of stacked blocks, maintaining the neighborhood's human scale while introducing 163 residences, from micro-units and studios to duplex atelier residences for artists and creatives, crowned by a single penthouse.
The site itself has a story. Rosita Hurtado, the Bolivian-born fashion designer and entrepreneur, contributed the land as a project partner. Her studio and new headquarters anchor the ground floor, beside a publicly accessible plaza finished in Bisazza glass mosaics depicting Fornasetti's iconic Mani design.
