Mark Chahwan is the co-founder and CEO of Sarwa, the first fintech to be licensed in the MENA region. Lebanese-born and raised in Canada, he studied finance at McGill and worked at Accenture before moving to the UAE with two longtime friends to build an automated investment platform that has since grown into a one-stop shop for investing, self-directed trading, and high-yield savings. A believer in remote work as the new corporate luxury, he built a globally distributed team on trust and ownership, and reached profitability seven years in.
