Fernando Rivera es un pionero de la tecnología ecuatoriana: comenzó exportando diseño web desde el cafenet de sus padres en 1999, cuando menos del 1% del país tenía internet, y llegó a Nueva York a construir productos para Dow Jones Indexes. Fue CTO y cofundador de Index Universe, levantó capital para ETF Analytics y vendió su producto a FactSet. En 2014 cofundó Buen Trip Hub en Quito —comunidad, conocimiento y capital para emprendedores— y en 2021 lanzó el primer fondo de Buen Trip Ventures.
