Alexandre Rohlfs is a Miami-born Brazilian entrepreneur and Babson alum who interned at Hetz Ventures in Tel Aviv at 19, worked as a Miami VC analyst, and spent three years in operations at Brazilian hedge fund SPX Capital in New York — an experience he calls an MBA for real. He quit to found Waggly, an AI preventative dog-care app, then made the hardest call of his career: after 100 dog-owner interviews revealed his product-recommendation angle had no moat against Amazon, Chewy, and OpenAI, he scrapped the entire build and relaunched as Zibly. Now a licensed P&C insurance broker partnered with Kangaroo Insurance in Miami, he leads a team of five and preaches problem-first thinking: validate before building, hire believers, and be ready to completely scratch whatever you build.
