Changing your opinion is a superpower. Everything from your name to your favorite color was chosen by others — Tero unlearned it all, rebuilt himself from scratch, and became free to change his mind about anything, even his 30-year stance on living without a purpose.
Use the deserted island test. Before a hard decision, mentally transport yourself to an island where only you matter: the honest answer comes instantly — bring it back and say it.
Nobody is thinking about you. A sauna lesson at 14: never waste energy worrying what people think of you, because they are too busy worrying what people think of them — and in three generations nobody will remember you anyway.
Only regret the things you did. Ten companies, eight gone — including a cider business that ended with a swim in a bathtub of cider — but never lament what you did not do; and invest only in founders you truly know.
